It’s a Frigid Friday here in RVA!! It’s 23 degrees (at the time of this writing) – our lake at Byrd park is frozen and some extremely risky souls ventured out to ice skate on it!! Yikes! Abraham obeyed God’s commands with no hesitation.

Abraham’s faith is on full display as he is about to sacrifice Isaac.

Some symbolism between Isaac and Christ: the wood he had to carry symbolizes Christ carrying the cross. God sacrificing His only son, Abraham about to do the same (I know he had two sons, but Isaac was used specifically by God to fulfill prophecy).

As this month comes to an end, I can happily say I have kept two of my goals, but the one that has taught me the most about God is practicing consistent morning prayer. Intercession is what I was trained in, so prayer throughout the day and all night is what I am accustomed to.
