Hi everyone –

I am playing a little bit of catch up here. But I will do what I can, little by little. I have a “habit” of quitting things that involve me. Not finishing things that I set out to do and will bring me joy.

Tonight, I am SO PLEASED to share that I completed my 4-week backyard beekeeping class. I am an aspiring beekeeper, and this was an important step for me. I just wanted to share that I am feeling happy and accomplished this day!

I learned something interesting on Sunday. I was listening to a sermon from Community Presbyterian Church in Danville and Kara Powell, PhD of Fuller Seminary. She reference Luke 2:41-5. Mary and Joseph could not find Jesus for a day, the reason behind this was they traveled in groups (Judaism cultural), men in one women in another. The kids would run between the groups. I thought this was really interesting.

Merry Monday!! Phew I had to fight for this lower strength workout on tuh-day!! Since it’s month/end at work, we’re working late so to “help myself out” I had my groceries delivered….but they delivered to the wrong house. Yep, they opted to completely avoid the perfectly shoveled pathway to my front door and instead chose to traverse the icy untreated terrain that is my neighbor’s yard. I am trying to find my groove again. The other day I was getting a tad frustrated because it’s a little challenging getting back into a writing rhythm. I believe the Holy Spirit reminded me of my journey.

• August to November 2023- I was launching and celebrating the release of my devotional for teachers.
• May 2024- My dad passed and that was something we definitely didn’t see coming.
• June 2025 – I had hip replacement surgery.
